Candelilla Institute approves research project on Candelilla plant cultivation.
OCT. 12/2005Candelilla Institute has approved an integral research project, on the diverse cultivation techniques that could lead to assuring the Candelilla plant survival, in terms of sustainable development.
The project will be carried out in collaboration with the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon (Universidad de Nuevo León-UANL in Spanish).
The project comprises basic research aspects on the seed biology and tissue reproduction, as well as applied research aspects by means of lab and greenhouse reproduction, also including “in vivo” propagation in the natural Candelilla plant habitat.
