The Candelilla Institute aims to benefit rural producers, and their families dedicated to the extraction of Candelilla wax. By 2025, we have identified 1,191 Candelilleros from 155 ejidos (common lands) located in 26 municipalities in the states of Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo Le\u00f3n, and Zacatecas. <\/p>\n

According to the 2020 census, the ejidos where these Candelilleros live have an average population of 181, of which 88 are women and 93 are men.<\/p>\n
