level, and a kiln is built beneath them to heat them using the Candelilla plants used in previous extractions.<\/p>\n

These extraction sites are located near communities and are mostly outdoors, making the work extremely exhausting due to sun exposure and the extreme weather conditions of the semi-desert area, which vary throughout the year. Each paila is used communally by the producers, so this project will not only benefit the workers but will also indirectly contribute to the well-being of their families. Each roof costs approximately $30,000 MXN ($1,500 USD)<\/strong>. The Candelilla Institute is authorized by the Mexican Tax Administration to receive cash or in-kind donations and can issue a tax receipt to donors.<\/p>\n
